Heading to Europe!

We head out to Europe this afternoon. Come out and pray for us as we gather at Fremont Community Church at 10:00 am. After prayer, we'll leave for SFO. First stop is Frankfurt, Germany, after about a 11 hour flight. We have a 2 hour layover to make our connecting flight to Munich. Then after about 1.5 hours, we'll fly onto to Sibiu, Romania. Pray for safety and health on the flight.

Countdown continues

Here we are. It's Saturday, September 25, and we leave on Wednesday, September 29. It was great to connect with Radu yesterday. We have confirmation on a number of different things. One,Victor will definitely be meeting us in Sibiu. Two, the women will have ample opportunities to minister in both the orphanage and senior home situations. Tomorrow our church, Fremont Community Church, will be commissioning us in both our Celebration and analog community worship times. It will be wonderful to see what God has done in Romania since I was last there 14 months ago. Keep praying!!

first time international flier

So this is my first international flight ever, and I'm trying not to think about it:) I can't fly for more than an hour without freaking out, so this will be the first big step throughout this new adventure. I have been wanting to travel for a while but never felt that missions was something God was calling me to, but this is beginning to stretch me and helping me to take another leap towards what God has in store for my life. So here we go...I'm ready and willing to learn and ready to share my life with the people in Romania:)

3 weeks

We'll be leaving for Romania in 21 days. I'm looking forward to seeing Radu and Ema again. It will be exciting to see Filip for the first time. His birth is a constant reminder of how God continues to move us forward. It's only up to us to either lag behind or allow God to move us with Him. I'm glad my team is open to moving forward with God. Pray for Kim, Ariel, and I as we leave on the 29th. Pray for Michael as he leaves on Oct. 1. It's going to be an exciting time in Sibiu and its surrounding areas.

It's all about relationships!

This will be my 4th trip to Romania and it feels like I great big reunion. There is one family I'd like to tell you about. Let me go back to that first year I went to Romania. I met a young man - Radu, the son of one of the pastors at Betania. He has a quick sense of humor, a dedication to helping people and a graciousness I would love to have more of.

At that first meeting, he was young and busy. The next year we went, we heard rumors of a young lady that was in Radu's life. She lived in another city, so we did not meet her. I wondered how Radu might have time to get to know this mystery girl, but didn't think much more beyond that. Then, the next year we went, Radu was planning to marry Emma. What a wonderful suprise! Radu remained dedicated to his ministry and sought out what God would have him do with his life. This last visit, Radu and Emma who were newly married, gave us their home to stay in and went to stay next door with his parents. Emma is a radiant woman with a lot of grace and passion of her own. This year we are so excited to meet their first child. Little Filip will be a just over a month old when we meet him.

Thank you to all who are praying and supporting our team as we go to serve and visit with our very special friends in Sibiu. I know that what I experience in Romania each time I go expands my view of what is possible through God who strengthes and blesses us.

Blessings,

Kim
